My buddy Chris Stowe and the very brave subject of this article.

This story, a collaboration between Chris Stowe and I for the Bitter Southerner, was a year long in the making. It’s my first feature, a risk the Bitter Southerner took to give an unknown a shot at, and for which Chris took a bigger risk being the subject. I’m proud of it. I’m more proud of, and for, Chris. This is a story of survival, growth, and victory. Semper Fidelis.
